The Archive Palette contains buttons for frequently used operations.
Palette Shape
Click in this box to change the shape of the Archive Palette.
Stuff
Click this button to stuff files, folders, or disks into the frontmost archive.
UnStuff
Click this button to UnStuff the current selection in the archive.
New folder
Click this button to create a new folder in the frontmost archive.
Delete
Click this button to delete the current selection. To override the confirmation dialog, hold down the option key when clicking.
Get info
Click this button to display detailed information about the current selection.
View
Click this button to display a window showing the expanded contents of the selected file.
Launch
Click this button to UnStuff and launch the current file. If the file is a document, the application which created it will be launched first, and the document will be opened within it.
Move/Copy
Click this button to move or copy the current selection to another location in any open archive.
This list shows the contents of the current level, which is named in the title bar. Click an item to select it. Drag out a marquee, or use the shift key or command key to select multiple items. Double-click a folder to open it.

Click here to display (and possibly edit) the comments attached to this archive.
This area shows the column totals for any columns for which totals can be calculated.
This area shows a descriptive heading for each column. Clicking a column heading will order the archive items by that heading. An underlined heading indicates how the items are currently ordered.
This area contains information about this archive, such as its name, its total size on disk, which disk it resides on, whether it’s read-only, etc. It also shows the number of items in the current level whose name is in the title bar of this window.
Scroll bar
To scroll one item at a time, press one of the arrows. To scroll a “windowful” at a time, click in the gray bar. To scroll to another part of the window, drag the scroll box.

To change the height and width of the window, drag the size box.

Click this button to display a window showing the expanded contents of the selected file. Not available because no items are selected or because Viewers do not exist for the current selection.
